LoveScope Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, downloading, installing, registering for, or using LoveScope, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Your continued use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and any future modifications made in accordance with Section 16.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Service and uninstall the application.

2. Eligibility

LoveScope is intended solely for individuals who are at least 16 years of age.

By creating an account or using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least sixteen (16) years old.
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• You will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
• You are not prohibited from using the Service under any applicable law.

LoveScope is not intended for use by minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 16. If we become aware that an account has been created by a person under 16 years of age, we reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate that account without prior notice.

3. Account Registration & Security

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account.

You may register using:

• Email address and password;
• Sign in with Apple; or
• Sign in with Google.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information always updated at all times.

You are solely responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials;
• Restricting access to your account;
• All activities conducted through your account; and
• Ensuring your account information remains accurate.

You must immediately notify us at support@lovescope.app if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization or if you suspect any security breach involving your account.

We are not responsible for losses resulting from unauthorized access caused by your failure to maintain the security of your account credentials.

We reserve the right to refuse registration, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe present a security risk or are being used fraudulently.

4. Electronic Communications Consent

By creating an account or using the Service, you consent to receive electronic communications from LoveScope.

These communications may include, but are not limited to:

• Account verification emails;
• Password reset requests;
• Security notifications;
• Subscription confirmations;
• Payment receipts;
• Billing notices;
• Subscription renewal reminders;
• Updates regarding your account;
• Changes to these Terms or our Privacy Policy;
• Service announcements; and
• Other communications necessary to provide the Service.

Service-related communications are considered an essential part of your relationship with LoveScope and cannot be opted out of while your account remains active.

Where permitted by applicable law, you may choose to opt out of promotional or marketing communications through your account settings or by following the unsubscribe instructions contained in those communications.

5. Subscription Plans & Payments

LoveScope offers both free and paid subscription plans that provide access to premium features, enhanced AI-powered relationship experiences, compatibility tools, educational content, and other features made available through the Service.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including the LoveScope application, website, software, artificial intelligence systems, algorithms, source code, user interface, design elements, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, icons, images, audio, video, relationship assessments, compatibility tools, educational materials, AI-generated prompts, compilations, databases, and all other content made available through the Service (collectively, the “Content”), are owned by or licensed to LoveScope LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property and other laws.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, LoveScope grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to access and use the Service solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

Except as expressly permitted under these Terms, you may not:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, transmit, display, sell, license, lease, or otherwise exploit any portion of the Service or Content;
• Modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, or reverse engineer any part of the Service;
• Decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover the source code or underlying technology of the Service except where expressly permitted by applicable law;
• Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices;
• Use any automated means, including bots, crawlers, scripts, or data mining tools, to access or collect information from the Service;
• Use the Service or its Content to develop, train, benchmark, or improve any artificial intelligence, machine learning model, or competing product without our prior written consent.

All trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, and branding displayed within the Service are the property of LoveScope LLC or their respective owners. Nothing contained in these Terms grants you any right to use such intellectual property without prior written permission.

Unauthorized use of the Service or its Content may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and may subject you to civil or criminal liability under applicable law.

7. User Conduct & Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service responsibly, lawfully, and in accordance with these Terms.

You agree that you will not:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or unauthorized purpose;
• Provide false, misleading, or impersonated identity information;
• Harass, threaten, intimidate, abuse, or harm another individual;
• Upload, transmit, or distribute unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable content;
• Use the Service to promote violence, self-harm, illegal activities, or harmful conduct;
• Attempt to manipulate, exploit, or intentionally misuse the AI systems or generate content that violates applicable law;
• Upload viruses, malware, malicious code, or any technology intended to damage or interfere with the Service;
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation, security, servers, or networks connected to the Service;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data;
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the Service;
• Create multiple accounts to evade restrictions or enforcement actions;
• Share, sell, transfer, or permit another person to access your account;
• Use automated software, bots, scripts, or similar technologies to access or interact with the Service without our written authorization;
• Use the Service in any manner that infringes the intellectual property or other rights of LoveScope or any third party;
• Use AI-generated content from the Service to mislead, impersonate, deceive, or cause harm to others.

You are solely responsible for all activities conducted through your account and for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with these Terms and all applicable laws.

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of these Terms and to remove content, suspend features, restrict access, or terminate accounts at our sole discretion where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

8. User Content & License

The Service may allow you to submit, upload, create, transmit, or otherwise provide content, including profile information, relationship preferences, messages, prompts, questions, feedback, text, images, and other materials (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights that you hold in your User Content.

By submitting User Content through the Service, you grant LoveScope LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, process, modify, adapt, translate, display, distribute, and otherwise use your User Content solely for the purposes of:

• Operating and maintaining the Service;
• Providing AI-powered responses and recommendations;
• Improving product functionality and user experience;
• Developing and enhancing our AI models and related technologies using de-identified or aggregated information where permitted by applicable law;
• Detecting fraud, abuse, security threats, or violations of these Terms; and
• Complying with applicable legal obligations.

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have all necessary rights to submit your User Content;
• Your User Content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights of any third party;
• Your User Content does not violate any applicable law or regulation; and
• Your User Content does not contain malicious code or harmful material.

LoveScope does not claim ownership of your User Content.

We may, but are not obligated to, review, monitor, filter, remove, or restrict User Content where we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, applicable law, or creates risk of harm to the Service or its users.

You acknowledge that AI-generated responses are produced based on the information you choose to provide. You are responsible for ensuring that any information you submit is accurate and that you have the necessary rights to share it.

9. AI Services, AI-Generated Content & Important Disclaimers

LoveScope provides AI-powered features designed to deliver relationship-related educational content, compatibility insights, personalized guidance, conversational experiences, assessments, and recommendations based on information you provide.

These AI-powered features include, but are not limited to:

• AI Profile Chat;
• AI Global Chat;
• Relationship guidance;
• Compatibility assessments;
• Relationship quizzes;
• Personalized recommendations;
• Educational relationship content; and
• Other AI-powered features made available through the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

LoveScope LLC expressly disclaims all warranties, representations, and conditions of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including, without limitation, any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, availability, or uninterrupted operation.

Without limiting the foregoing, LoveScope does not warrant that:

• The Service will meet your individual expectations or requirements;
• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, timely, or error-free;
• AI-generated responses will be accurate, complete, reliable, or suitable for your particular circumstances;
• Compatibility assessments or relationship insights will accurately predict relationship outcomes;
• Defects or errors will be corrected;
• The Service or its servers will always be free of viruses, malware, or other harmful components; or
• The Service will remain available at all times or in all geographic locations.

The Service is intended solely to provide educational information, general relationship guidance, AI-generated conversational experiences, compatibility insights, and related informational content.

LoveScope does not guarantee any particular outcome, including but not limited to:

• Successful relationships;
• Improved communication;
• Reconciliation between individuals;
• Dating success;
• Emotional wellbeing;
• Increased compatibility; or
• Any other personal, social, or relationship outcome.

Your use of the Service is voluntary and entirely at your own discretion and risk.

Some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion of certain warranties. In such jurisdictions, the foregoing exclusions shall apply only to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LoveScope LLC, its affiliates, members, managers, officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, service providers, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive, special, or similar damages arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

This limitation includes, without limitation, damages relating to:

• Loss of profits;
• Loss of revenue;
• Loss of business opportunities;
• Loss of goodwill;
• Loss of data;
• Business interruption;
• Emotional distress;
• Relationship disputes;
• Personal decisions made in reliance on AI-generated content; or
• Any other intangible losses,

whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, statute, or otherwise, even if LoveScope has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies or incomplete information;
• Relationship guidance is inherently subjective;
• Compatibility assessments are informational only;
• The Service cannot account for every personal circumstance; and
• You are solely responsible for evaluating and acting upon any information generated by the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LoveScope shall not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, dispute, or claim arising from:

• Your reliance on AI-generated responses;
• Decisions made based upon compatibility assessments or recommendations;
• Interactions with other users of the Service;
• Information you choose to disclose through the Service;
• Temporary interruptions, maintenance, or unavailability of the Service;
• Unauthorized access to your account resulting from your failure to safeguard your credentials;
• Third-party services, websites, platforms, or technologies integrated with or accessible through the Service.

If, notwithstanding the foregoing, LoveScope is found liable for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of:

(a) the total amount you paid to LoveScope for the Service during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or

(b) One Hundred United States Dollars (USD $100).

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under applicable law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LoveScope LLC, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, partners, service providers, successors, assigns, and agents from and against any and all claims, actions, proceedings, liabilities, damages, judgments, settlements, penalties, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or relating to:

• Your use or misuse of the Service;
• Your violation of these Terms;
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation;
• Your User Content;
• Your infringement or violation of the rights of any third party;
• Your misuse of AI-generated content;
• Any dispute between you and another user; or
• Any negligent, fraudulent, unlawful, or intentional act or omission by you.

LoveScope reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you. In such event, you agree to cooperate fully in the defense of such matter.

13. Termination

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to suspend, restrict, deactivate, or permanently terminate your account or access to all or any portion of the Service at any time, with or without prior notice, where we reasonably believe that:

• You have violated these Terms;
• You have violated applicable law;
• Your activities create risk or potential liability for LoveScope or other users;
• Your account has been used fraudulently or without authorization;
• You have attempted to interfere with the security, integrity, or operation of the Service; or
• Continued access to the Service is no longer commercially, technically, or legally feasible.

We may also discontinue, suspend, modify, or remove any feature, functionality, subscription offering, or portion of the Service at any time.

Termination of your account does not relieve you of any payment obligations incurred before termination.

Upon termination:

• Your right to access and use the Service immediately ceases;
• Any licenses granted under these Terms automatically terminate;
• We may delete or anonymize your account information and User Content in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law; and
• Any provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect, including but not limited to provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, governing law, and any accrued rights or obligations.

You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account. However, deleting your account does not automatically cancel any active subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Subscription cancellation must be completed through the applicable platform.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

We encourage users to contact us first to attempt to resolve any concerns or disputes informally by emailing support@lovescope.app.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by applicable law.

The arbitration shall:

• Be administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) or another mutually agreed arbitration provider;
• Be conducted in accordance with the applicable arbitration rules then in effect;
• Take place in the State of Connecticut, United States, unless the parties mutually agree otherwise or applicable law requires another venue; and
• Be conducted in the English language.

15. Global Compliance

LoveScope is intended for users located in various jurisdictions around the world. By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with the laws and regulations applicable in your jurisdiction.

Where required by applicable law, LoveScope will respect users’ rights relating to privacy, consumer protection, and data protection, including rights provided under applicable laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the United Kingdom GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable privacy legislation.

Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable under applicable law, the remaining provisions shall remain valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

16. Modifications to These Terms

We may revise or update these Terms from time to time to reflect:

• Changes in applicable laws or regulations;
• Changes to the Service or its features;
• Security enhancements;
• Changes to our business practices;
• Changes required by Apple, Google, or other platform providers; or
• Other operational, legal, or commercial reasons.

When we make changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the beginning of these Terms.

Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice of material changes, including through the Service, by email, or by other reasonable means.

Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service and cancel any active subscription before the next renewal date.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional policies or guidelines that are expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and LoveScope LLC regarding your access to and use of the Service.

These Terms supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, understandings, proposals, representations, agreements, or arrangements, whether oral or written, relating to the Service.

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or of any other provision.

If any provision of these Terms is determined by a court or tribunal of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.

LoveScope may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, sale of assets, or operation of law.

We will make reasonable efforts to respond to inquiries within an appropriate timeframe in accordance with applicable law.

19. Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the platform from which the subscription was purchased.

Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period unless required by applicable law or the policies of the applicable app marketplace.

Deleting your LoveScope account or uninstalling the application does not automatically cancel your subscription.

If you experience issues with subscription billing or require assistance relating to your LoveScope account, you may contact us at support@lovescope.app. However, refunds, payment disputes, and subscription charges for purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store remain subject to the policies and procedures of the applicable platform provider.

By accessing or using LoveScope, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
